What is Lean?

The Basics.
Lean Manufacturing is meant to simplify the way companies approach continuous improvement, all too often implemented in ways that are rigid, confusing, and ineffective.  CommonSense LEANSM understands that today's leaders need process improvement strategies that are straight-forward, effective and immediate.  Their unique approach enables employees to quickly understand and implement lean.

How is CommonSense Lean different?

The CommonSense LEAN formula works because it applies experience, theory and hands-on simulations to specific problem areas.  And, because time is money, CommonSense LEAN operates quickly and efficiently.

In a one week time frame, participants learn to

effectively apply:

bullet

Waste Identification and Elimination

bullet

Flow v. Batch Processing

bullet

Building to Customer Demand

bullet

Visual Controls

bullet

5-S Organization

And it's not just the traditional manufacturing environment that can benefit.  Lean concepts work in all types of business settings from

service to retailing.

The people at CommonSense LEAN have over 39 years combined manufacturing history.  Their track record is solid.  From first-hand education and experience at Nummi and Saturn in the 80's to the introduction of lean at Herman Miller's SQA in the 90's.

Simply put, CommonSense LEAN takes a logical, straight-forward approach to implementing Lean.  Isn't that the way it should be?
